Andreas Pinczewski for the MICHAEL STURM Gallery: The Sturm Gallery offers an insight into the broadly conceived project by Beate Baumgärtner in parallel in the guestroom. The basic module for her work is an object made of four dishwashing sponges and four square wooden boards that develop a rampant life of their own in the virtual space of a CAD program. By means of overlaying and agglomeration, penetration and turnings an object is gradually created in the computer that is no longer implementable in our reality and can now only be visualised using secondary techniques…
